Hal and Linda Barry acquired Chaseaway in 1981, renamed the property Bear Creek Farm, and it served as their weekend retreat until 1991, when they moved full-time to Bear Creek Farm from Atlanta. The Barrys acquired several additional parcels of land over the next 10 years and Bear Creek Farm now includes 1,019+/- well maintained contiguous acres. Mr. B. H. Hardaway III hunted his Midland Foxhounds at Bear Creek Farm for many years. In 2002 the Barrys started the Bear Creek Hounds, kenneled at Bear Creek, and hunted by Mr. Graham Buston, a professional huntsman who previously hunted the Waterford and Limerick Hounds in Ireland.
